The Bylaws Committee oversees the requirement
for membership and dues. In addition, the committee receives and
studies proposed amendments to the Bylaws from the Board of Directors,
and recommends action.
Charges
Review proposed amendments to the Bylaws and recommend action
to the Board of Directors, with pro and con arguments as appropriate.
Draft Bylaws changes requested by the Board of Directors.
Assist the Professional Practices Committee with their charge
of updating the SEAONC Canon of Ethics for Engineers to address
issues of the 90's regarding professional behavior and ethics
when leaving one's firm for new employment and/or to start one's
own firm.
