General Description
The Computer Applications Committee was first
organized to help provide guidelines for standards of practice in
computer aided engineering and inter-discipline Building Information Modeling (BIM) standards.
Responsibilities now include organizing the Computer
Exposition to assemble numerous engineering software packages in
one location for evaluation by the membership and the general public.
The committee also sponsors the Computer Forum, scheduling speakers
on various computer related topics. The Computer Forum serves
as a user's group where individuals may formally discuss problems
they have encountered with computer software and hardware.
