The Continuing Education Committee bridges the
gap between the state of the art and the state of the practice in
structural engineering. Its primary function is to present, through
educational offerings, new ideas and information to SEAONC members.
Yearly activities culminate in the Fall Continuing
Education Seminar, an annual lecture series on timely subjects.
An annual Spring Seminar, similar in character to the Fall Seminar,
is also offered. Committee members are responsible for choosing
seminar topics, planning, preparing and budgeting for the seminar.
Additional one day seminars are provided throughout the year.
The Continuing Education Committee is responsible
for maintaining a liaison with other professional organizations
and informing the Association of seminars that may be of interest.
It also submits recommendations to the Board of Directors for long
term plans to serve the continuing education needs of the membership.
Recent seminar notes are available. Fill out
the
online
order form or print the order form from the
Catalog
of Publications and mail it in with your payment. Online requests
will be invoiced and then mailed upon receipt of payment.
