SEAONC Business Forum Marketing Panel Discussion: 
Marketing Challenges and Solutions in A/E/C Industries


Although marketing is a term that most A/E/C marketers use every day, have you ever considered what the definition of “marketing” is? What is business development in the context of Architectural/Engineering/Construction industries? What are the challenges that you are facing when it comes to marketing and business development? Come and share your thoughts and learn from 4 insightful and experienced panelists in the A/E/C industries. The purpose of this lunch meeting is to address pre-collected questions for the first 30-40 minutes, and Q&A at the end. Attendees should submit their questions and more prior to this meeting.


Some ideas to get the brainstorming start:

  1. How do the A/E/C clients use the firms’ websites to find and vet service providers?
  2. What are the tools and processes companies in the A/E/C industries use to track their success with winning projects ? What are measuring parameters?
  3. How should A/E/C firms engage clients and use staff to win more work ? How firms should internally approach, structure and support business development efforts?
  4. What is the trend of business development in A/E/C industry in the future? What makes the marketing in A/E/C industries highly specialized discipline?
