Conscious Leadership, Part II: Cultivating the Four Competencies of Conscious Leaders
Wednesday, November 6th

What is conscious leadership?  One definition holds that “conscious leadership is a purpose-driven practice adopted by business leaders who recognize and cultivate the interdependence of all parties for success: team members, stakeholders, clients, patrons, and mentors. Conscious leaders cultivate deep awareness and authenticity, and offer an inspirational vision for our shared futures.”

In this hands-on workshop, you will be introduced to a framework for assessing your competence and capacities as a conscious leader, as well as practices that you can take on to intentionally develop these competencies and thus cultivate conscious leadership. The four competencies we’ll examine (Awareness, Connection, Insight, and Purpose) are based on the work of Richard Davidson, PhD, professor of psychiatry and psychology at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, best know for his decades’ long research on the neural bases of emotion and emotional style as well as methods to promote human flourishing.
